Cellblock Sweep — Pilot Concept

“No one loses here. Some will just… adapt more visibly than others.”

A man runs a prison. The prisoners compete to make the best shiv. The winner gets special privileges.

The warden is a patient. The prison is a psychiatric facility. The competition is a hallucination he's constructed to manage fragments of his own fractured psyche.

What we're watching is a reality TV show. What we're actually watching is a man's mind staging a conflict between its own dissociated parts, and mistaking it for institutional order.

The Premise

Cellblock Sweep is a personal project and deliberate skills experiment — a dark comedy mockumentary pilot developed entirely solo using generative AI production tools.

The driving question was whether the same discipline that shapes strong design work — precision, tonal consistency, knowing when something serves the concept — could be applied to build an AI production pipeline from scratch.

The Project

THE PROCESS

Starting from an original script, the project moved through the full creative chain: character and environment concept development, storyboarding, shot list creation, prompt engineering, text-to-image pre-visualisation, text-to-video generation, trailer assembly, and audio mixing.

Building a coherent visual world across AI-generated assets requires the same thinking as a campaign system — define the rules early, maintain consistency across executions, and know when a result serves the concept. Prompt language became the brief. The shot list became the art direction document.
