TfNSW Sydney Metro
Chatswood to Sydenham Line Opening
In 2024, Sydney Metro opened the Chatswood–Sydenham line, requiring a full suite of branded launch collateral across physical and digital touchpoints. Our small Brand and Marketing team delivered the rollout — I was responsible for adapting agency creative across formats and producing collateral specific to the launch, from station hoardings to paid digital ads and city-wide posters.
Station hoardings & decals
Each of the eight stations presented different physical constraints the original agency artwork hadn't accounted for — structural breaks, panel widths, viewing angles. At stations like Waterloo, Barangaroo and Crows Nest, I adapted the campaign creative individually for each space, making independent calls on layout and cropping within brand guidelines where no template existed.
Safety Posters
The existing safety poster suite needed a full brand refresh — updated colours, revised copy, and a redrawn set of pictogram figures to bring consistency and accessibility across the range. I also designed new posters to cover gaps in the existing set. Moving to a cleaner white background lifted the tone from purely functional signage to something closer to the premium feel of the wider Metro brand.
Updated Safety Posters
Station brochure
Designed as a station-specific education piece, the brochure combined safety information, accessibility and facility details, and wayfinding to nearby landmarks and transport connections — condensed into a format commuters would actually pick up and use, not file away.
Staff station guide
Paired with the brochure, this guide equipped frontline staff to field public questions ahead of launch day — covering the same safety, accessibility and wayfinding information in a format built for quick reference on the floor.
